I am not very religious. I believe in God. Without Him all these things in the universe can’t assume any balance and would have collapsed millions of years back.
I haven’t bothered to ponder over who and where is HE. Instead I decided to follow the order. Get guided by my mother and follow the scripts blindly. Luckily the blind belief is allowed/ recommended in the religion I am in.
This gives me the background to respect all religions and sincerely mix with people of all religions without even thinking about it.
But I am not that innocent. Being in the sect Roman Catholic Syrian Christian, I am prepared to show everyone that St Thomas, the apostle came to Kerala in AD 52 and made a few Namboothiri families Christians. By the way St Peter reached Rome in AD 55. You know what I mean.
Then why don’t I adopt the blind belief principle when my cousins talk about a family tree search of we Vellukunnel and a Namboothiri family of Vellur Illam concluding that family members of vellur illam got baptized by St Thomas and settled in Erattupetta/ Aruvithura. Like England and France digging under sea and shaking hands at Eurotunnel. You know what I mean, Christians before Rome.
If religion is blind, there’s no rule in war and love. War, you may have to fight when you are a man; but it’s dangerous and victory is not assured.
But love, yes you can! And no rules; yes then only you can now. So since there’s no rule, perhaps one must.
Love they say is blind. But then religion is blind. Maybe the message is when you love, your lover is always from another religion. Remember-no rules.
But are there no rules? There are. These makes love complicated and sorrowful sometimes. But look deeply, every prick of sorrow is immensely pleasurable. It brings meaning to it.
You don’t believe in life after. How about adopting it for convenience. For you are tolerant of all religions.
So if you’re a coward and do not want war for love and upset everything, then go for the after life wish. Wish to be together in next life.
Beautiful solution. SMart message….
