I was on 100 non-stop laps on our 20 meter swimming pool when I left for Kuwait two years back.
On return, today was the first day in the pool. I did 20 laps non stop and thought I could carry on.
But then, I am out of practice and two years older. Should I do it or pause and take a breather?
That’s what I did. Then did another twenty. When you break the rhythm, you tend to follow the new pattern and decided on another breather.
And then, instead of another twenty, what came to mind was “slow and steady wins the race”.
So it’s 40 laps on day one……
