I wanted some accessories for my fishing rod set, and ventured into the narrow and paved Broadway (pun intended).
Cars and bigger vehicles are not allowed into the narrow lanes, which makes the navigation on foot a bit easier.
An avid mango lover, I got attracted to the small roadside vendor set-up, selling mangoes. Off season and reasonably good looking these kari Neelam mangoes were not very expensive @ Rs 100 a kilo.
I bought two kilos and then by the side of mangoes I found the local variety of guavas and I got a kilogram for only Rs. 50. I said only because one of them (slightly bigger though) in bangalore costs Rs.20. How many did I get here, I lost the count.
Back home we cut two mangoes and immediately regretted for not buying more as they are so lovely.
The photo here has two mangoes and a couple of guavas less in it than the bargain purchase. Clearly the vendor didn’t even cheat on the weight.
