My father was one of the first to plant this rare fruit (then) in our area, and the trees are growing healthy around our house in Thidanad.
The fruit is sweeter, rarer and have better shelf life than rambuttan. Th tree is estimated as it could last for over 100 years and bear fruits.
The fruits are attractive and tempting and has an inviting look when opened to eat.
Mangosteen, thus will occupy a prime place in the planting plans and farming

I’d eaten the fruit when I was in the Philippines. I think they call it ” star apple” over there…. though I’m not sure.
