Fond memories of this restaurant in Bombay near to my Standard Chartered office still lingers.
We used to stand in line for a table to be available in the relatively small but exclusive restaurant.
The place is famous for dishes of crab, fish and other seafood.The Restauranter himself was said to visit the fishing place every morning and select and buy fresh seafood items for the lunch.
Crab curry, Pepper Crab, and Surumai (Seer Fish) fry were our favourites.
We used to put on an apron and used pincer crackers to enjoy the crab fully.
On Saturdays, when I used to go to office for half a day, my car boot had a dozen crab curry for the friends waiting for my arrival back in the apartment complex.
That’s why we’re excited about seeing a Mahesh Lunch home in Bangalore and enjoyed the food yesterday.
The Bombay one stands out, probably because Mr. Mahesh himself selects the seafood.
