Back in my favourite balcony in Uparika Malika, facing the backwaters in Kochi, Kerala.
It has been raining heavily and most dams in the state are full.
If rain continues, there’s a danger of some of the shutters in some dams getting opened to let the excess water out.
That’s a risk to people living on the embankments of the rivers that would be flooded.
The disaster management people are working overtime and there will be test runs before the release.
Prayers for a managed handling of water.
This video shows the calm side of the Kerala monsoon rains and the beauty across the backwaters.
Prayers for everyone’s well being . But I couldn’t help admire the beauty 🙂

As much as the monsoons are beautiful, they bring their own problems every year.

River and rain are beautiful if they are under control but dangerous if out of control.

As I read your post, thunder, lightning and heavy rains are outdoors. The weather can certainly give our lives drama.
