Our first priority yesterday the December 24th was to get to a mass in the church, where we could find some seats.
That’s because the churches are full and overflowing on days like Christmas and Easter.
We selected a 4pm mass and reached at around 3.30 pm to occupy some of the last available seats.
After mass and after some roaming around to see some beautiful Christmas decorations, we decided to have dinner. That would give everyone some rest, as we have people coming over for Christmas lunch.
In Kerala, India and Middle East, Christmas eve dinner is a celebration at restaurants with prices sometimes multiplying.
Our first stop met with a restaurant closed response. Second place said kitchen would close in 20 minuets and they could not serve the people already seated.
The third one also gave a similar response and we decided to wait and try any luck. After 35 minuets also the estimated one hour remained the same.
Finally we got a Chinese take away just in time before they closed.
The reason at all places was cook taking day off and not enough people to cook. Of course the cook should get some home cooked meal at least on Christmas Eve.
Merry Christmas! πππ

Chinese restaurants are usually the only ones open in New England on Christmas Eve.
