I am sticking on to Intermittent Fasting as a major wellness program and probably the game changer.
The 16 hour fasting and the rest 8 hour eating window sort of plateaued out with the body weight going constant, though some other benefits are visible.
The best thing in Intermittent Fasting is autophagy, the Nobel Prize winning wellness stage with unbelievable benefits.
To recap, the benefits include prevention and perhaps cure of deadly diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Cancer, heart problems, blood pressure, inflammation and even diabetes.
Nobel Laureate Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi‘s work on autophagy uses the word (translated from Japanese) starvation and not fasting.
I am saying this because there are videos from some so called experts saying that exercise generates autophagy and the benefit from fasting is unproven. Not true at all.
Working out helps but all the genuine research points out to Fasting as the method to achieve autophagy stage.
Coming back to the 24 hour fasting, I got the idea from a neighbor who’s into Intermittent Fasting and who’s looking very good with trimmed waistline and lost weight.
He said, it got accelerated when he started a 24 hour fasting once a week along with the 16 hour schedule on other days.
And yesterday was my first day of 24 hours fasting and I did it with two black coffee during the 17 to 24 hours.

Wonder why Intermittent Fasting is a frequent subject for me? Well it’s probably the best thing to happen. The objective is autophagy.
