Sometimes It’s Better To Take A Look Again!

I am convinced and totally bought on to the benefits of Intermittent Fasting. I’ve heard and studied the Nobel Prize winning subject ‘Autophagy’ and know that it’s the best in wellness.

And I am taking some efforts to share it with my friends with constant communication, sharing of benefits and even manage a whatsapp broadcast group on the subject.

I have also done a 24 hour fasting to accelerate autophagy and recommend the once a week practice to my friends in addition to a lifestyle of 16 hours a day fasting.

And then I heard about 24 hour ‘Dopamine Fast’ and instantly circulated in the group, thinking it’s cool.

Now I am on a ‘re-think’ phase. The reason is that many of the so called bad things in Dopamine Fast are dear to me in a positive way.

‘No Electronics’ , the fast’s top item could could sound revolutionary, but not okay for me. I do check my social media accounts frequently to be in touch with friends.

Yes, I have very good online friends who I interact with, frequently. Some of them, I don’t even know the personal contact details, but we interact in a very friendly manner, equally and sometimes better than face to face interactions.

A whatsapp chat is superior or precursor to a phone call. In a social media chat, the convenience and availability of the person is preserved. And if the person is available, call! The whatsapp calls are anyway free.

And I am not an electronic addict. I take time for my regular yoga, swimming and other workout. I travel, meet friends and do Intermittent Fasting. And I am green with plans to plant a number of trees.

I like outdoors, rain, fruits, vegetables, like to sweat, look in the mirror for outlines of six pack, animals, pets, children, people.

The things I am currently addicted are Cricket and ‘ Designated Survivor’ on Netflix!

And I like to be a multidimensional person, capable of doing many things simultaneously.

See, I don’t have many ticks on the Dopamine Fasting checklist.

For all you know, it sort of dilutes the focus on Intermittent Fasting which has all ticks in the checklist.

I am out of the Dopamine Fast!

  1. i took out breakfast from my day and have managed to lose the weight i wanted to…i now have to focus on building muscle, which needs both patience and effort. 🙂😶🙂

      For best results the fasting time should be minimum 13 hours and ideally 16 hours or more. No calorie intake during fasting period and pure black coffee is okay if needed.
      This will ensure additional benefits to the weight loss.
