The Philippines used to be the largest exporter of coconut, now it’s Indonesia… still. And just like Indonesia, most Filipino dishes use coconut milk . Coconut milk is also used in ice cream, instead of dairy milk.

Exactly. The same case in Kerala where I come from. The name kerala itself is from coconut, Kera meaning coconut in local language.
